The parking area is claimed to have 150 spaces- with a "resident priority" reserved for Orange Beach residents* at no charge. Details on how "resident's" parking will be arranged is still in the planning process.
While the CoastAL restaurant development facility will take longer to finish, the city hopes to have the parking area completed by later this year. However, the city and Orange Beach Land Co, LLC, owned by Flora-Bama co-owners John McInnis and Cameron Price, compare the plans for the building and park comparable to the current Gulf Shores main beach park facility.
While we may see some concerns over the "resident" parking and how it will be determined who is considered a resident- this is certainly a better option over more hi-rise condos- and we can't wait to see the finished product!
